We contributed to the construction of a sports centre for tennis in the heart of the Cergy-Pontoise conurbation. The modern complex comprises four covered tennis courts, a reception hall, a clubhouse with bar, offices, changing rooms and sanitary facilities. The outdoor area of the centre is complemented by four further tennis courts.
The tennis centre is characterised by its wooden architecture, which creates a warm and natural atmosphere. The wooden structure, panelling and solar shading devices ensure effective thermal insulation and thus contribute to optimal indoor comfort while reducing energy requirements. Natural light is maximised thanks to the large window fronts. This project, which harmonises with its surroundings, reflects a modern and sustainable approach to sports architecture. Wood, a renewable material, was chosen for its aesthetic qualities and its low impact on the environment. It also offers unique technical possibilities that allow the construction of light and open structures, ideal for creating large spaces without supports.
